Fits 5.1 hoses perfectly in the inside. 5.9 hoses on the outside take a little work to get on. Put the hose between your knees to get the 5.9 hoses on. Make sure you try to start the coupler on the hose where the coupler threads are just starting. Also determine if you need to turn the hose counter-clockwise (mine) or clockwise. Very tight, secure and leak free fit which is what you are looking for. Also, perfect for connecting two of the same size hoses or one 5.9 to a 5.1 etc. Also looks a lot better and better fit than the wide standard ones that you typically use to connect two of the same size hoses. Those wide standard ones are easier to put on, but I have now used both and greatly prefer this coupler. Highly recommend.
