I thought $25.00 was expensive. The cheaper stuff today can't handle pressure or the heat of the Sun. The connections are weak, leak and break. When is a good deal a bad deal? When it breaks and you have to send it back. I don't send junk back because my time is worth more than a junk hose and of course, who keeps receipts to big box stores?. In the end, now that I can, I buy better stuff and forget about it.My record with recent yellow and orange big box store hose purchases, their best/expensive hoses, four out of seven hoses have had to be replaced. To me, this is an expensive hose. I'm having to buy several hoses, so this is getting more expensive with each hose I buy. And when it's time to get more hoses, I'll buy the expensive hoses because price aside, this is a very good hose that can handle high water pressure so I don't have to run around turning the water off. I don't have to worry about the hose looking like it's going burst. The hose can handle the heat of the sun and the fittings don't break. This is what I expect of a hose. This last hose purchase is a 100' hose; lucky me.
