I've been using this keyboard for a month now with my desktop computer. Here's are a some of my biggest issues. First, the arrow (up/down) keys are not placed the same as EVERY other keyboard I've ever used. You would think it wouldn't be a big deal, but it gets very annoying especially when I switch to other devices. I find myself constantly having to find the down arrow key to scroll down a page, when using this keyboard. Also, the Tab, Caps & Right Shift (Left side is a bigger key?) are about the same size as the letters. These keys should be bigger! Since, I do not look at my keyboard when typing. At times, my fingers slip off these keys and I hit the keys next to them. Lastly, I've had to re-plug the keyboard in a few types now. It will somehow lose connection to my computer and the arrow will freeze on screen. However, I do like the feel of the higher keys vs. a flatter type keyboard. Earlier, I had another Cherry keyboard that I loved and used for many years until the keys started getting too sticky to use. However, I would not purchase this keyboard again for myself.Nice plug&play with windows xp-home :)Having the touchpad on the right hand side, close to where I used to have my mouse (only closer to the key board) was a dealbreaker when I decided to order this keyboard. At first it wouldn't let me adjust the pointer speed which was very dissapointing, it was set to the slowest speed:( ,but that solved itself once I rebooted my system :pThe arrow keys to the left of the touchpad is nice for scrolling the page. I loved this keyboard so much, I ordered another one :)keyboard switch is no need to comment;but the up down left right key's arrangement is a bit strange, needs some time to be familiar withthe touchpad feels of high quality, but a bit small;good product!A bit more compact than a standard keyboard which help me with ergonomics. It took a few days to get adjusted to the key placement - but much better overall than the standard keyboard.Works good. ThanksThis might sound a little funny but I first noticed these keyboards at my local Staples store. The cashiers were using them at the registers and at the UPS hub. I loved the small footprint and the sound of the keys. I purchased a number of other keyboards but ended up going back to my Staples store and asked the cashier for the model number on the underside of his keyboard. I really, really like this board. The layout is great and if you don't like the placement of keys, you can download the software from Cherry and reprogram keys to your liking. I did that with the delete key which I changed the scroll lock to. The touchpad works fine but I mostly use my mouse as it is more comfortable for me. Being the 14 inch size lends to a closer placement of a mouse and you don't get that lopsided feel from a full sized and length keyboard. The keys are rubber domed switches but I feel they are of good quality and definitely have a nice feel to them and the sound is awesome. Kind of sounds like popping popcorn. If you are looking for a high quality rubber domed switch keyboard in a compact layout but with full features - don't pass this one by. I give it my highest recommendation.I selected this keyboard because of the built-in touchpad as an alternative to a mouse. (Hate using a mouse.) The touchpad works fine. Keyboard action is on the loose side, which some typists may or may not prefer. Tor a touch typist (like me), the one significant negative is that the right shift key is small (i.e., not oversized). No problems using this product as an external keyboard for my MacBook Pro.Cherry makes some of the finest mechanical switches around, and this keyboard has a great feel. Clearly sturdy, it was a replacement for an earlier Cherry that lasted more than 10 years. If you like a keyboard with a touchpad, this is the one to get.
