The Freeman 3/8” x 65’ Compact Retractable Air Hose Reel features a spring-loaded torsion system with an auto-guide rewind that smoothly retracts the air hose without any kinks. The easy retractable system is ideal for both hobbyists and professionals who are looking for a better storage solution. Pull the hose out to the desired length and the positive latching mechanism will automatically lock the hose. When you are done, give the hose a short pull and allow the hose to gently retract. The air hose is constructed of a hybrid PVC polymer that is lightweight without sacrificing strength and durability, and can withstand sub-zero temperatures from -22ºF to 122ºF for all-weather use. The hose features a 3/8" internal diameter, brass 1/4" NPT fitting and universal coupler, and has an additional 6 ft. lead hose to easily connect to your compressor. The Freeman retractable hose reel has 34% more hose than comparable reels, but is the same size or smaller thanks to the compact, impact-resistant housing. Mount the reel to your garage or workshop walls with the included bracket to free up workspace, keeping the hose off the ground to prevent a tripping hazard.The bracket rotates 180º so the housing and hose move with you, ensuring increased maneuverability and efficiency. Got this Freeman retractable hose reel for garage use to make tire inflation on our four vehicles more convenient - previously had to drag air compressor to near vehicles. had OEM springy plastic hose which helped some but was too short. Ordered this Freeman retractable hose reel from Amazon, arrived quickly, very good price. Plastic mount holes too far apart to mount on edge of supposedly 2X4 garage wall stud, had to mount on face of stud instead - seems somewhat flimsy but so far works well. Hose reel OEM couplings are removable leaving 1/4 inch threaded fittings so could easily install vehicle tire inflation chuck on one end, other end threaded fitting, had to jerry rig to screw into the air compressor threaded female connection. Would have been easier if I had a quick attach connector on our compressor. Installed, this retractable hose reel works great - substantial hose locks at convenient lengths when pulled out, retracting loaded spring seems quite adequate, automatic hose leveling/spacing device makes retracting the hose very simple. Hose length makes reaching tires on all four vehicles easy. This Freeman hose reel is an excellent tool especially at its Amazon price.
